To enhance public awareness on environmental protection and to promote environmental education and sustainable development, HK Electric and the Conservancy Association join hands to implement the Green Hong Kong Green (GHKG) project.

Under the project, a total of 11 eco-heritage routes on Hong Kong and Lamma islands have been developed, including the latest route in the Eastern District of Hong Kong Island launched in 2020. We have also produced education panels en-route and more than 200 volunteer eco-leaders trained to conduct monthly eco-tours for the public. A GHKG App is developed for nature lovers to explore the routes at their own pace.

Special tours with different themes were introduced in recent years to bring in new elements to our existing eco-heritage routes. Facilitators were invited to share on different topics to the participants during the eco-tours. Stepping into 2021, another series of thematic tours and seasonal night safari tours will be organised for the community. You may also visit our GHKG YouTube Channel to know more about our programme.
