e-Bill and Autopay Promotion

To promote an environmentally friendly and low carbon lifestyle, HK Electric electricity accounts changing to use both e-Bill and autopay services during the promotion period between 1 May and 31 December 2018 will be rewarded with a one-off $50 incentive for offsetting electricity charges or for donating to one of the designated green groups. Carbon Calculator

To provide our customers with more up-to-date environmental information, we have an on-line Carbon Calculator for calculating the total annual carbon emission from your electricity consumption over the past 12 months.

The Carbon Calculator has now been updated with 2017 emissions factor. Try it out and see the carbon emissions you have made over the past year.

Use "AlipayHK" to Settle Your Electricity Bills

Customers of HK Electric who download AlipayHK App and successfully register AlipayHK during the promotion period until 30 June 2018 will receive a welcome offer of HK$50 in the form of five HK$10 coupons where one coupon will be deducted automatically for each electricity bill payment. To help customers better manage their bills, AlipayHK will generate a monthly payment reminder for HK Electric customers who successfully register with AlipayHK. Simply by clicking the reminder will direct customers to view the bill balance on HK Electric website, giving them the convenience to make prompt payment.

New Bill Payment Arrangement for Customers' Convenience

Effective 1 April 2017, bill balance below $150 will be carried forward to the next bill and no immediate settlement will be required. This new arrangement aims to save customers' time in arranging settlement of bills of small outstanding amount, so accounts using autopay will not apply. For details, please click here.

Customers Getting Better Service

We have collaborated with The Hong Kong Society for the Deaf for production of sign language videos. The videos provide a more effective channel for the hearing impaired customers to understand about safety tips, efficient use of electricity and handle supply interruptions. EBPP – Manage and Pay Bills Easier

HK Electric customers can now register for the Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment Service (EBPP) through their Internet banking accounts to receive e-bill summary and pay for their electricity bills. For details, please click here.

More Electronic Services for Customers

To save paper and be environmental friendly, we have launched a number of new electronic services. Customers can now pay their bills by uploading e-Cheque via our "e-Cheque Drop Box" on our corporate website. We also provide e-Receipts for payments made via Autopay, internet payment, ATM, PPS or cheque payment (by cheque deposit machine/e-cheque/mail). Simply subscribe for the e-Receipt service through our Account-On-Line Service. Furthermore, e-bill customers can make payment by presenting the QR code which comes together with the e-bills with their smartphone at any convenience store.

Revision of Supply Rules

The Supply Rules is revised in October 2016. The Supply Rules cover the general and technical terms and conditions upon which the Company will supply electricity to the applicant. Please click here to view the new edition.

HK Electric has won the "Service Retailers of the Year – Retail (Services) Category Award" for seven consecutive years and "2017 Service Retailers of the Year – Bronze Award" in the Mystery Shopper Programme organised by the Hong Kong Retail Management Association (HKRMA). We are also nominated by HKRMA and won the “Customer Service Excellence Award” organizing by the FAPRA. Furthermore, the Call Centre and the Customer Emergency Services Centre have won the Gold award under "Mystery Caller Assessment Award" organised by Hong Kong Call Centre Association.
