FAQs on Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment Service (EBPP)

Who can register for the EBPP Service?

All registered customers of electricity accounts and/or his/her authorised persons can register for the service. The applicant shall have an internet banking account with the participating banks. For the list of participating banks, please click here.

If the EBPP service is to be registered by a third party, he/she shall obtain the consent from the registered customer in advance. The applicant is required to provide the registered customer's name and the electricity account number for verification during the registration process. We will inform the registered customer of the registration details submitted by the third party.

Can I register to receive the e-bill summary of the same electricity account via more than one bank?

Yes. You can register to receive the e-bill summary of the same electricity account with up to five participating banks.

How long does it take to process my registration request?

Upon receiving the registration request from your bank, it normally takes about one week for us to process your registration request. You will be notified by your bank for the registration result once the registration process completes. Please check with your bank for the notification arrangement.

How do I know when an e-bill summary is received at my internet banking account?

It is subject to individual bank arrangement, e.g. by e-mail/SMS or receive notification message in the internet banking account. Please check with your bank for the notification arrangement.

What information will be included in the e-bill summary under EBPP?

The e-bill summary will include the electricity account number, issue date, payment amount and payment due date.

Can I check the previous e-bill summary at my internet banking account?

Yes. You can check the previous e-bill summary via your internet banking account for a period of time as determined by your bank.

How to pay the bill after viewing the e-bill summary?

Customers can pay the bill online at once or schedule the payment via their internet banking account.

Is there any receipt issued for payment via EBPP service?

We will not issue any receipt for payment made via EBPP service. However, you may opt to receive the e-Receipt through our "Account-On-Line" service or check the payment records via your internet banking account.

When should I make my bill payments through EBPP service?

Please pay the bill on or before the Payment Due Date shown on the e-bill summary.

How do I cancel the EBPP registration if I do not need to receive the e-bill summary?

Please arrange to cancel the EBPP registration via your internet banking account.
